Friday 12th December 2003 Garden Moths (Phil)

single winter moth and a very late lesser yellow underwing in the traps from last night. I thought I might have been in with a chance of a macro or two as there were quite a few midges around the lights also a housefly in one of the traps and 2 ichneumon wasps too. The wintering Small Tortoiseshell is still looking well - it hasn’t moved a muscle since it took up residence in one of the traps in early November (I think?) but it's still alive. (Phil)

I have just checked the trap at 2200hrs in and around the trap there are 15 December moths (fifteen) I have 3 in pots and at least 12 in the trap I was quite surprised as the wind is quite fresh. regards (Windbreak)

Sunday 30th November 2003 Garden Moths

There were a few moths in the traps last night and
the temperature appears to be much the same tonight?
I had:

1 Blair's shoulder-Knot
1 Turnip
1 Chestnut
1 Winter Moth
1 Diamond Back
10+ Light B Apple Moths

not bad considering it's nearly December. (Phil)
