Foreness to Fairness Hotel
A walk from Foreness to the Fairness
Hotel this afternoon was enlivened by a lone Migrant Hawker, by the
hotel, probably the latest date that I have seen this species. Also a late
Painted Lady hanging around the Point area. (Barry H)
Monday 9th November 2009 Pegwell
Bay
Quite a bit of insect
activity still going on today - Common Darters here and there plus a
couple of Red Admiral and late Painted Lady. I also saw grass,
bush, tree and mud ... not too sure whether or not they count as insects
mind you? I did see Steve Ray (made up stage name) and Steve Ashton mind you
... they're both insects. (Phil M)
Wednesday 28th October 2009 Seaton
While ringing at Seaton this morning I was surprised to find this pristine
Clouded Yellow (Colias croceus) basking on dead Fleabane. This is the
latest record of this species for Seaton ( as far as I know!) (Norman M)
