Sunday 19th November 2006 Western
Undercliff
A Red Admiral was feeding on ivy along the Western
undercliff, where I also noted several Common Field Grasshoppers
(Chorthippus brunneus). Some were still "singing" -
quite a late record I think? (Dylan)
Thursday 9th November 2006 North Foreland &
Foreness
Four species of butterfly today: Red Admiral, Small White, Painted
Lady and, best of all, a Clouded Yellow, the latter a Foreness
tick for me. Yippee!

Monday 6th November
2006 Ramsgate &Pegwell
I was amazed at just how many butterflies were still on the wing this
afternoon - I must have seen over a dozen at Pegwell between 13.00 and
14.30. All the ones I could identify were either Red Admirals or Peacocks
I even saw 2 unidentified butterflies flying south across the mudflat,
migrant style?? Probably 100+ Common Darter dragonflies along the
Country Park section of the cycle path too. (Phil M)
