Friday 11th March 2011 Pegwell Bay
I was quite surprised to notice a Lizard Orchid Rosette growing on
'Milton's mound' (not my fault ... you can't blame me ... others gave the
spot on the Country Park this name!) ... anyway to cut a long story short it
got even more surprising when I noticed there were seven in total! There are
20+ Lizards growing further west of this spot on the Country Park but I've
never noticed them growing there before ... better inform Tony to see if he
can arrange a 'no mow zone' as I don't know how to go about it? (Phil

Thursday 3rd March 2011 Pegwell Bay
A bit of excitement today at Pegwell Bay a 45ft
Sperm Whale dead I would like to add was beached in the bay, this gave
good views to many locals and a lot to talk about over a pint in the local
pubs, that over looking the Bay, (Gadget)

There are still quite a number of Winter Stalkballs
near the garage pools. They can also be seen over near Prince's Golf Course
at Sandwich Bay. (Claire Ward)
Wednesday 2nd March 2011 Ramsgate Cemetery
While I was up the cemetery today I noticed a few
patches of Purple Crocuses around the fringes of the north side and
two lonely Daffodils, on east side there was lots of Winter
Heliotrope in large clumps, but sadly the cemetery has been cleared of
most of the shrubbery and wild flowers, (Gadget)
