Sunday 27th January 2008 Southwall marshes to Fowlmead

I did spot one Peacock Butterfly, basking in warm sunshine it makes you feel like spring (Mike D)

Tuesday 22nd January 2008 Minster Marshes

A Water Vole was seen swimming along the main, trackside, dyke as we made our way towards the water treatment works. Nice to know that there are a few surviving out on the marshes. We also noted a Bumble-bee sp. as we walked beside the R. Stour. (Gadget & Dylan)

Sunday 20tht January 2008 Pegwell Bay

There was a Peacock Butterfly at Pegwell Bay yesterday, my first butterfly of the year. (Steve Coates)

Wednesday 16th January 2008 Ramsgate Cemetery

walking round the cemetery this morning the sweet smell from the Winter Heliotrope lingered in the air as you entered the eastside. (Gadget)

Sunday 6th January 200 Seaton Pits

At Seaton Pits today a single Water Vole was seen swimming confidently up a reedy ditch and a couple of Grey Squirrels were chasing each other through the oak trees by Quaives house, (Norman Mccanch)

Saturday 5th January 2008 Minster Marshes Thanet

A commotion amongst a group of Carrion Crows alerted me to the presence of a superb adult Fox, enjoying the early morning sunshine. (Dylan)
