Wednesday 21st February 2007 Pegwell

While I was sitting in the car in the traffic holdup along the Sandwich road this afternoon, just past the entrance to the nature reserve I observed two Common Weasels on the side of the road, they looked to be playing tag or the like it was a fantastic sight. (Gadget)

Saturday 17th February 2007 Ramsgate Cemetery

Spent a little time at Ramsgate Cemetery today, of note was a good number of Grey Squirrels all over the Cemetery also 3 Red Admirals on the wing with a few Bumble Bees darting around for good meagre. (Gadget)

Friday 16th February 2007 Dumpton Thanet

Observing a Hedgehog (western Erinaceus europaeus) in the garden yesterday morning as it moved around the garden for over an hour, it would seem to be well and enjoying the sunshine. Today however I found the unfortunate mammal laying on the stones playing dead, I have made a shelter over him to try and keep the wind and the cold at bay, it just shows that its not that warm in general, just the odd day which is confusing for most of us as well as most of the wildlife. Tuesday 13th February 2007 Pegwell Bay

Wednesday 7th February 2007 Late News

While I was sitting at Ramsgate Harbour on the 6th February a Herron Gull fighting over head dropped a Helmet Shell I think, which was possibly used by a Hermit Crab at some time on further inspection I discovered Nereis fucata (Polychaeta) inside. (Photo Opposite) (Gadget)

Sunday 4th February 2007 Seaton Gravel Pits

A Grey Squirrel, lots of fresh Molehills and quite a few fresh Badger tracks, provided mammalian interest although we did not find Mr Brock; perhaps he was lurking in the mist. (Norman M)
