There were half a dozen Common Seals offshore - two hauled out on Shellness during the afternoon for a sunbathe. (Phil M)

Monday 8th December 2008 Dolphins

A friend of mine (Harvey Cole of Invicta Sea School) was coming back from France yesterday on his yacht. 10 miles SE of the South Goodwin Buoy, he came across a group of 20 Dolphins. They stayed with his yacht for 20+ minutes. They gave excellent views as they played around at the bow of his yacht in the very calm conditions. The water was clear and he could see incredible detail on the Dolphins. They responded playfully to noises, diving out of view and then returning at speed to the surface, regularly leaping clear out of the water. Of many hours at sea, it was the best wildlife spectacle he has ever seen. (Simon M)

Wednesday 3rd December 2008 Dumpton Thanet

As the weather had change last night with very cold wind and heavy ground frost, I decided to put food out last thing for our resident Foxes, this morning at 06-30hrs a very smart looking  Dog Fox came for breakfast, as the garden is well lit up by the Moth trap light we had splendid views.
