December Moth, November Moth and Brick; whilst
at Kingsgate, 5 Diamond-backs and 1 Blastobasis
lacticolella. (F Solly)

Meagre pickings of late, but with much
encouragement we persevere. A nice Turnip Moth on
7th. a Dark Chestnut on 11th. and not much since.
This morning, however, produced a couple of pristine
Satellite and my first Sprawler.... (Bill Martin)

White Shouldered House Moth, Diamond Back,
Blair's Shoulder Knot, Red Line Quaker and

Only 3 macros in the traps on a cold
night with a full moon - they were singles of Lesser
Yellow Underwing, Silver Y and a nice

Tuesday 3rd November 2009 Newington
Ramsgate
There were a few moths at the garden
lights overnight with the emphasis on the word 'few'. The
total catch was 1 Blastobasis decolorella, 1
Diamond Back, 2 November Moth, 1 Feathered
Thorn, 2 Lesser Yellow Underwing, 2 Red-line
Quakers and 1 Large Wainscot. (Phil M)
Tuesday 3rd November 2009 Eastry
A couple of Satellite this
morning, a brilliant white example along with a much smaller
moth with an orange planetary system. A late Vine's
Rustic, several Feathered Thorn and regular
Green-brindled Crescent. Otherwise unsurprisingly very
low numbers, even November Moth which until recently
have been using the trap to play floodlit 5-a-side, (Bill
