10th April 2006 Pegwell Moth Trap
Moths (barely) in a Moth trap
- what next! Only went to the Pegwell trap at 2.15pm as I was passing. In
full sun and a cold night, I assumed it would be empty. 2
Hebrew Character, single Small Quaker, Common Quaker, Clouded Drab and
Oak Beauty. Of note for Thanet was a Lead-coloured Drab -
something of a rarity here but the 2nd record this year and one last year
may indicate a presence nearby. (F Solly)

The mothings still awful - I still haven’t caught an Early Grey
yet and I’ve only caught 2 Hebrew Characters this past week. The
only newsworthy stuff (garden wise - these moths are common around the
proper habitat) has
been singles of Twin-spot Quaker and Small Quaker plus a
single Shoulder Stripe, which is a new moth for the garden -
believe it or not? Rubbish - cack - poop. Ta ta. (Phil M)
