Tuesday 31st May 2005 Garden Elvington 

Moths are coming along nicely Migrants since Sat night to last night are 1 Silver Y, 2 Dark Swordgrass, 2 Pearly Underwings, 1 Vestal, and 1 Bordered Straw (TRP)

Sunday 29th May 2005 Garden Dumpton Thanet

Mothing - 28th May, After an abysmal start to the year, mothing has begun to pick up. Amongst the regular garden species I had my first Dark Swordgrass and White-point of the year. They would be considered to be migrants in the majority of the UK, but are resident species on the Isle of Thanet! Nice moths all the same. (Dylan)

Thursday 26th May 2005 Garden Elvington 

Sorry there hasn't been any reports but the moths stopped coming until last night 33 species amongst them where 2 Poplar Hawk Moths, 1 Herald, 1 Dark Swordgrass, 2 White Point, Cedar & Pebble Prominent 6 Species of Pug plus a couple I could not ID and I have 1 macro that I've no Idea. At last a decent night (TRP)

Thursday 26th May 2005 Ramsgate Thanet

Quite a few moths in the garden overnight - 24 species of macro. They were: 5 Brimstone, 1 Red Twin-spot Carpet, 1 Garden Carpet, 2 Common Carpet, 2 Waved Umber, 1 Yellow Belle, 1 V-Pug, 1 Sallow Kitten, 2 White Ermine, 8 Common Swift, 1 Pebble Prominent, 1 Pale Prominent, 1 Spectacle, 3 Dark Spectacle, 1 Early Grey, 1 Angle Shades, 9 Shuttle-shaped Dart, 1 Flame Shoulder, 1 Bright-line Brown-eye, 2 Heart and Dart, 2 Rustic Shoulder-knot and 1 Lychnis. Micro's included 2 Agonopterix species, Monopis Obviella and the first Epilblema Cynosbatella of the year. (Phil M)

Monday 2nd May 2005 Garden Dumpton Thanet late News & Photos

Sorry about the late news and photos, on the 29th April I had my first Lime-Hawk Moth this year also a Twenty Plume moth and a Cinnabar moth, and during the day time I netted a Esperia Sulphurella  on the 30th April I had Swallow Prominent, and Grey Dagger then on the first May I had Ruby Tiger, Pale Mottled Willow, Flame Shoulder, and Shuttle Sharp Dart, (Gadget)

Sunday May 1st 2005 Garden Elvington 

Swallow Prominent, Pebble Prominent, Pale Prominent, Buff Ermine, Angle Shades, Clouded Drab, Scorched Carpet, Waved Umber, Pine Beauty, Chinese Character, V Pug, Muslin Moth, Diamond Back Moth all these were singles Brimstone 9, Streamer 4, Shuttle Shaped Dart 3, Common Quaker3, Early grey 3, Hebrew Character 4 (TRP)
