Wednesday 27th April 2005 Garden Dumpton Thanet

The moths have been very slow of late in my garden, and most of them have been common stuff, just three new moths for this year Muslin Moth, Early Thorn, Brimstone, (Gadget)

Wednesday 20th April 2005 Garden Mark Avenue Thanet

Saw my first Hummingbird Hawk-moth of the year this afternoon in the garden. (Paul Austin)

Wednesday 20th April 2005 Pegwell Bay

I saw another male Emperor Moth whizzing around the country park this afternoon. (P M)

Saturday 16th April 2005 Garden Dumpton Thanet

The only new moth for the garden of late was a Double-striped Pug taken at light on the night of the 15th April 2005. (Gadget)

East Blean      12/4/2005       20.45 – 2300hrs

As is usual when the forecast is for a cloudy evening, the cloud completely cleared at 21.40, after-which there was little activity hence the early finish.

1 Yellow Horned, 1 March Moth, 2 Shoulder Stripe, 1 Streamer, 46 Brindled Pug, 1 Early Tooth-striped, 1 Broom-tip, 5 Early Thorn , 7 Purple Thorn, 6 Engrailed, 1 Lunar Marbled Brown, 2 Red Chestnut , 1 Twin-spotted Quaker, 8 Common Quaker, 1 Small Quaker, 3 Early Grey , 1 Grey Shoulder-knot, 5 Chestnut, 26 Nut-tree Tussock , 25 Eriocrania subpurpurella, 1 Diurnea flagella (F Solly)

Moths for last night 3rd April to 125MV light: new moths last night were The Herald, and Bright-line Brown Eye, also photos posted of the Dark Chestnut and Pine Beauty. (Gadget)

Moths for last night 3rd April to 125MV light: 36 Hebrew Character, 33 Common Quaker, 15 Small Quaker, 3 Twin Spot Quaker, 7 Early Grey, 3 Early Thorn, 6 Clouded Drab, 1 Angle Shade, 1 Brimstone, 1 Satellite and 1 Dark Swordgrass (TRP)
